Mélange Cohiba

Roasted Coffee

Size

Great for trying a roast or for lower weekly coffee use.

Grind

Whole beans for grinding fresh at home. Best flavour and flexibility for any brew method.

Mélange Cohiba is a rich, intense medium-roast blend of Central and South American beans, built for cafés that want a bold house coffee. It works across both espresso and filter service, holding a full, intense character under milk or on its own. The blend ships in 340 g and 907 g retail packaging, plus 1 kg and 3 kg bulk formats for sale by the cup or internal use. Roasted in small batches in Montréal, it gives an espresso bar a confident, full-bodied base and a brewed cup with real presence.

Tasting Notes

The cup is rich and intense, with a full body and a bold, lingering finish. It carries milk well and stands up as a strong black coffee, which makes it a versatile choice across espresso drinks and brewed service.

Origin

Mélange Cohiba brings together Arabica beans from Central and South America. The blend is built for consistency rather than single-origin specificity, so every delivery cups to a familiar, repeatable standard for your menu.

Roast

This is a Medium roast. It builds a full body and a smooth, rounded intensity that suits espresso extraction and filter brewing alike.

Brewing

As a general guideline, aim for a 1:16 ratio – roughly 1 gram of coffee to 16 grams of water for a balanced cup – though brew method matters. For drip and filter service, use 8.5 g of coffee per 236.56 ml (8 oz) of water, about 36 g per litre at batch scale. For a double espresso, use 16–20 g to yield about 60 ml.
