Cafiza Cleaning Powder is specially formulated to eliminate stubborn coffee oils and residues from espresso machine groupheads, valves, and brew lines. Maintaining clean groupheads and clear screens ensures even extraction and consistent beverage quality, vital for high-volume commercial settings.

Versatile Cleaning for Machine Parts

Use Cafiza to create an effective soaking solution for portafilters, baskets, screens, and other removable espresso machine components. Its optimized solubility and foaming action deliver deep cleaning without unpleasant odors, helping you maintain hygienic equipment with ease.

Efficient Backflushing Procedure

1. Insert a blind filter into the portafilter and add up to ½ teaspoon (3g) of Cafiza powder.
2. Insert the portafilter into the grouphead and run the brew cycle for 10 seconds; stop for 10 seconds. Repeat this 5 times.
3. Remove the portafilter and rinse it under the water stream from the grouphead.
4. Reinsert the portafilter without cleaning powder and repeat the 10-second brew cycle, 10-second pause, 5 times.
5. Replace the blind filter with a standard basket and brew espresso to remove any residual cleaner. Discard the espresso – do not consume.

Cleaning Instructions

1. Prepare a soaking solution using 6 g of Cafiza powder per liter of hot water.
2. Submerge dirty parts (avoid submerging handles) in the solution for 30 minutes.
3. Rinse thoroughly with fresh water to remove any cleaner residues.
4. Ideal for routine maintenance of portafilters, baskets, and screens in commercial espresso operations.
