Mediterranean
Roasted Coffee
Mediterranean is a heavy-bodied, bittersweet medium roast for cafés and restaurants that want a bold, European-style house coffee. Built on South American and East African Arabica, it carries the rich, full character often associated with traditional French café coffee – a dependable batch brew with real weight in the cup. The blend is offered in retail packaging and in 1 kg and 3 kg bulk formats for higher-volume programs. Micro-roasted in small batches in Montréal, it gives staff a consistent, full-bodied filter coffee through service.
Tasting Notes
The cup is heavy-bodied and bittersweet, with the bold, rounded character that draws comparisons to classic French coffee. It is a strong, satisfying everyday cup – a clean reference point for staff describing a full-flavoured medium roast on a menu.
Origin
Mediterranean Blend pairs South American and East African Arabica. The South American beans give balance and body, while the East African component adds the brighter, aromatic lift that keeps a heavy-bodied cup from turning flat.
Roast
This is a Medium roast. It builds body and a smooth, rounded character that suits both espresso extraction and filter brewing.
Brewing
As a general guideline, aim for a 1:16 ratio – roughly 1 gram of coffee to 16 grams of water for a balanced cup – though brew method matters. For drip and filter service, use 8.5 g of coffee per 236.56 ml (8 oz) of water, about 36 g per litre at batch scale. For a double espresso, use 16–20 g to yield about 60 ml.
