Le Montréal
Roasted Coffee
Le Montréal is a rich, complex, well-balanced blend named for the city Terra calls home – and roasted there, in small batches. It is a dependable filter house coffee for cafés and restaurants that want to pour something with genuine local identity, a coffee staff can introduce as a Montréal blend. The blend is available in a 65 g filter-ground sample size, 340 g and 907 g retail bags, and 1 kg and 3 kg bulk formats for higher-volume programs. Built for consistency, it delivers a balanced, full cup through a busy service.
Tasting Notes
The cup is rich, complex, and well-balanced, with body and a smoky, layered depth. It reads as a polished everyday coffee with more interest than a standard medium roast – a clean reference point for staff describing it to customers.
Origin
Le Montréal brings together select Arabica from South America and Asia, including Indonesia. The South American beans give balance and a sweet, rounded base, while the Asian and Indonesian components add the body and depth that carry the blend's complexity.
Roast
Le Montréal is 80% medium roast and 20% dark roast. The medium portion builds body and a sweet, caramel-edged base; the dark portion adds smoky, sharp notes and depth. Together they produce a rich, balanced cup with character beyond a single roast level.
Brewing
As a general guideline, aim for a 1:16 ratio – roughly 1 gram of coffee to 16 grams of water for a balanced cup – though brew method matters. For drip and filter service, use 8.5 g of coffee per 236.56 ml (8 oz) of water, about 36 g per litre at batch scale. For a double espresso, use 16–20 g to yield about 60 ml.
