Espresso Mezzo
Roasted Coffee
Espresso Mezzo is a balanced espresso blend – 55% Arabica and 45% Robusta – built for cafés that want a full, structured cup that stops short of the boldest blends in the range. The Robusta brings a thick crema and body while the Arabica keeps the cup rounded, and it works in both espresso and filter service. The blend ships in 340 g and 907 g retail packaging, plus 1 kg and 3 kg bulk formats for higher-volume programs. Micro-roasted in small batches in Montréal, it gives an espresso bar a versatile, dependable base that holds up under high-volume service.
Tasting Notes
The cup is full and thick, with a generous crema and light natural notes of pepper and cloves. Its structured body suits drinkers who want a bold cup that still holds through milk for cappuccinos and lattes.
Origin
Espresso Mezzo blends Arabica from South America and Ethiopia with Robusta from Asia. The blend is formulated for consistency rather than single-origin specificity – each delivery gives your bar the same structured, repeatable cup.
Roast
This is a Medium roast, developed to build body and caramelize the coffee's natural sugars for a rounded character. It suits espresso while holding its body through milk.
Brewing
As a general guideline, aim for a 1:16 ratio – roughly 1 gram of coffee to 16 grams of water for a balanced cup – though brew method matters. For a double espresso, use 16–20 g to yield about 60 ml. For drip and filter service, use 8.5 g of coffee per 236.56 ml (8 oz) of water, about 36 g per litre at batch scale.
