Oolong Tea
ARIEL Superior is a partially oxidised whole leaf oolong, available in a 1 kg bulk format for café and specialty retail programmes. It sits in the middle of the oolong spectrum – lighter than Formosa, with more body than a lightly oxidised style like Tie Kuan Yin. Kosher certified and well suited to any loose leaf oolong programme.
Tasting Notes
The cup is a clear golden-amber, with a smooth body, a subtle floral lift, and a warm finish without sharp astringency. Partial oxidation gives it the fresh character of green tea alongside the body of a darker oolong – clean and consistent cup after cup. An accessible profile that works well as a gateway tea for guests new to the category.

Oolong teas span a wide oxidation range – from lightly oxidised green-adjacent styles to heavily oxidised teas approaching black tea character. Superior sits near the middle of that range, balancing freshness and depth. The open, twisted leaf style steeps evenly in both loose leaf and measured service formats.
Brewing
Steep 2.5 g per 200 ml at 95 °C for 3 to 4 minutes. At this ratio, a 1 kg bag yields approximately 400 portions – a useful baseline for programme planning.
