Tasting Notes

The cup is deep red with full body and a pronounced spice presence – cinnamon and cardamom forward, with ginger warmth and a low note of clove. The black tea base holds up well with milk, making it a natural fit for chai lattes and milk-based preparations. The finish is warm and lasting.

About Masala Chai

Chai is a spiced black tea with roots in the Indian subcontinent, traditionally prepared with milk and sugar. Our ARIEL Masala Chai blend uses whole leaf black tea with cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, and safflower. The composition reads authentically on a menu and performs consistently in volume service.

Brewing

Steep 2.5 g per 250 ml at 95 °C for 3 minutes. For milk-based preparations, 2.5 g per 250 ml holds up well against steamed milk. The 100 g loose leaf tin yields about 40 portions at 2.5 g per cup.
