About Honeybush

Honeybush (Cyclopia genus) is native to the Western Cape of South Africa and closely related to rooibos. Like rooibos, it contains no caffeine and no Camellia sinensis. The naturally sweet character is inherent to the plant – no added flavouring – making it accessible to a broad guest profile.

Brewing

Steep 2.5 g per 200 ml at 95 °C for 5 to 7 minutes. A longer steep deepens the colour and sweetness without introducing bitterness. At 2.5 g per portion, a 1 kg bag yields approximately 400 portions.
