ARIEL Green Rooibos

ARIEL Green Rooibos is a caffeine-free herbal infusion made from unoxidised Green Rooibos leaves from South Africa's Cederberg region, available in a 1 kg bulk format. Kosher certified, with a delicate, slightly herbal character that distinguishes it from red rooibos. A well-recognised caffeine-free option for café and hospitality programmes.

Tasting Notes

The cup is a warm amber-orange, lighter and clearer than traditional red rooibos. The flavour is gentle and slightly herbal with a mild, natural sweetness and a clean, smooth finish without bitterness or astringency. An accessible cup suited to afternoon and evening service.

About Green Rooibos

Green Rooibos is the unoxidised form of Aspalathus linearis, the same plant as red rooibos but processed before oxidation occurs. This preserves the green colour of the needles and gives the infusion a lighter, more delicate character than its red counterpart. Like red rooibos, it is caffeine-free, tannin-low, and native to South Africa's Cederberg region.

Brewing

Steep 2.5 g per 200 ml at 95 °C for 5 to 7 minutes. A longer steep deepens character without adding bitterness. At 2.5 g per portion, a 1 kg bag yields approximately 400 portions.
