Darjeeling Himalaya Special

Black Tea

Size

ARIEL's Darjeeling Himalaya is a single-origin first flush black tea sourced from the high-altitude foothills of northern India – one of the most recognizable origin stories in specialty tea and a reliable menu anchor for café and hospitality programmes. Available in loose leaf format, it is well suited to both individual service and batch brewing.

Tasting notes

The cup is bright and clear, with the delicate floral character and muscatel finish that defines first flush Darjeeling. A gentle sweetness carries through to a lingering, clean close – approachable for guests new to single-origin black tea and distinctive enough to anchor a premium menu position.

Origin

Grown in the misty foothills of the Himalayan range in northern India, this Darjeeling is harvested as first flush – the earliest pluck of the season, hand-selected for its fresh, nuanced character. The leaves are processed through withering, rolling, oxidation, and drying, preserving the integrity of each flush.

Brewing

Steep 2.5 g per 250 ml at 95 °C for 3 minutes. At commercial volume, a 1 kg bag yields approximately 400 servings at the standard infusion ratio.
