ARIEL Wild Cherry
Black Tea
Our whole leaf black tea built around a sweet-tart cherry character, with red cornflower petals adding colour through the leaf and the cup. Available in 1 kg loose leaf bulk – a destination format for café programs running a fruit-forward black tea position, and for hotel and restaurant beverage programs serving year-round and seasonal cherry-themed menus. Holds against milk, sweetener, ice, or all three.
Tasting Notes
A deep amber red cup, with a sweet-tart cherry aroma at the front. The cherry character reads as ripe and rounded, with a bright tart edge underneath – the same balance found in a fresh stone-fruit bite. The black tea base sits in support: full-bodied, with enough structure to carry the fruit. The finish is gently sweet, with a clean fruit echo. Iced, the cherry character lifts further; with milk, it rounds into a softer, more dessert-like cup.
Blend
Our base is whole leaf black tea, blended with red cornflower petals and supported by natural and artificial flavours that carry the cherry character through to the cup. Cornflower is decorative – contributing visual depth to the leaf without altering the cup's profile, and signaling the structure of a real loose leaf blend on a retail display shelf and in a tea wall. The cherry character is built through flavouring; no cherry fruit is listed in the ingredient declaration.
Brewing
Steep 2.5 g per 250 ml at 95 °C for 3 minutes. Black tea is the most heat-tolerant of the true teas; boiling water works. For iced tea preparations, brew at the same ratio and pour over ice – the cherry character intensifies as the cup cools. At commercial scale, a 1 kg bag yields about 400 servings. Zero calories per 250 ml serving.
