Nepal Mount Everest Supreme

Green Coffee

Size

Nepal Mount Everest Supreme is a certified organic, washed-process Nepali coffee from the Ganesh Himal foothills, sold in 20 kg bulk. The lot is grown approximately 75 km north of Kathmandu, on the Trisuli River basin south of Mount Ganesh. Mount Everest in the product name is a brand designation referencing Nepal's iconic peak. The actual growing region is Ganesh Himal in central Nepal. The estate was established in 1996, when Nepal's specialty coffee industry was still emerging.

Cupping Profile

Expect mild acidity, medium body, and a sweet, mild fruit character with chocolate notes. These are pre-roast indications of cup potential, not finished-cup descriptors. The Caturra cultivar grows at 700 to 800 metres in the Ganesh Himal foothills. The Himalayan cool climate compensates for the modest tropical-coffee elevation. It supports consistent cherry maturation and the clean, approachable cup that defines the lot. The profile suits cafés and roasters looking to add Nepal to a single-origin program or to bring geographic novelty to a blended specialty offer.

Processing

This lot is fully washed. Cherries are hand-picked at peak ripeness on the estate, then pulped, fermented, and washed before sun-drying. The plantation runs an active social and environmental program. It supports local growers through agricultural training and protects Himalayan biodiversity through reforestation and soil conservation. Nepal's specialty coffee industry remains relatively new, with the country still establishing itself as a recognized origin in the international trade.
