Espresso Gusto

Roasted Coffee

Size

Great for trying a roast or for lower weekly coffee use.

Grind

Whole beans for grinding fresh at home. Best flavour and flexibility for any brew method.

Espresso Gusto is a creamy, approachable espresso blend that captures the character of Europe's classic espresso bars. At a moderate intensity, it suits cafés that want a smooth, everyday house espresso, and it holds its body through both espresso and filter service. The blend ships in 340 g and 907 g retail packaging, plus 1 kg and 3 kg bulk formats for higher-volume programs. Micro-roasted in small batches in Montréal, it gives an espresso program a dependable, crowd-pleasing base that stays consistent cup after cup.

Tasting Notes

The cup is creamy and full-bodied, with natural notes of nuts. Caramelized natural sugars give it a smooth, rounded finish that carries well through milk for cappuccinos and lattes.

Origin

Espresso Gusto blends Arabica and Robusta from South America and Asia. The Robusta builds crema and body, and the blend is formulated for consistency rather than single-origin specificity – each delivery gives your bar the same familiar cup.

Roast

This is a Medium roast, developed to build body and caramelize the coffee's natural sugars for a smooth, rounded character. It is built for espresso, with enough depth to hold in milk-based drinks.

Brewing

As a general guideline, aim for a 1:16 ratio – roughly 1 gram of coffee to 16 grams of water for a balanced cup – though brew method matters. For a double espresso, use 16–20 g to yield about 60 ml. For drip and filter service, use 8.5 g of coffee per 236.56 ml (8 oz) of water, about 36 g per litre at batch scale.
