Colombia Supreme
Roasted Coffee
Colombia Supreme is a single-origin selection of Colombian coffee beans, micro-roasted in Montréal for café and retail programs that need a dependable, approachable cup. It is sold as whole beans in four formats: 310 g and 907 g retail bags, and 1 kg and 3 kg bulk for high-volume service. The cup stays consistent across filter and espresso.
Tasting Notes
Colombia Supreme is aromatic and floral, with lilac and jasmine on the nose. The cup is medium to full in body, with gentle acidity and a finish of vanilla and hazelnut. The profile described here is for our TAG roast.
Origin
Colombia Supreme is grown in southern Huila, Colombia, across Isnos, San Agustín, Pitalito, and Acevedo. It is produced by Coffee Origen Grupo Orgánico Sur del Huila, a collective of small-scale farmers working with organic practices and Rainforest Alliance certification. Their specialty-grade, traceable sourcing gives buyers a credible origin story to share with their customers.
Roast
Colombia Supreme is roasted with the TAG method (Torrefazione Artigianale Granito), Terra's artisanal approach to single-origin coffee. More than four decades of green-bean selection and cupping inform a slow roast that fully caramelizes the bean sugars and draws out the coffee's floral character.
Brewing
As a general guideline, aim for a 1:16 ratio – roughly 1 gram of coffee to 16 grams of water for a balanced cup – though brew method matters. For drip and filter service, use 8.5 g of coffee per 236.56 ml (8 oz) of water, about 36 g per litre at batch scale. Filter and pour-over best showcase this coffee's balanced, smooth character.
