ARIEL Summer Breeze
Fruit Tea
Our caffeine-free fruit infusion with juniper berries and blueberries layered over our garden berry base – an alpine, slightly resinous take on our fruisane line. Available in 1 kg loose leaf bulk – a destination format for café programs serving a sophisticated caffeine-free position, and for hotel and restaurant beverage menus running a cocktail-adjacent or botanical menu. Serves cleanly hot or iced; iced, the juniper character lifts and lends the cup a structure unfamiliar to most fruit teas.
Tasting Notes
A deep ruby red cup, with a layered aroma at the front – garden berries underneath, with a distinctly aromatic juniper note above. Juniper leads the cup's personality: piney, resinous, gently sweet – the same botanical character that anchors gin. Blueberry follows: soft, sweet, with a rounded berry depth. The garden berry base sits underneath: blackberry and black currant dark and slightly tart, raspberry and strawberry sweeter, red currant a bright top note. Elderberry adds a winey depth. Hibiscus carries the cup's tart structure and its ruby colour. The finish is clean, with the juniper aromatic carrying through.
Blend
This is our garden berry fruisane base – apple, elderberry, beetroot, hibiscus, blackberry, black currant, raspberry, strawberry, blackberry leaves, and red currant – extended with blueberries and juniper berries. Juniper is the signature ingredient: a deeply aromatic botanical best known as the foundation of gin, with a piney-resinous-sweet character that brings genuine differentiation to a fruit infusion. The blend reads as alpine or wild rather than purely garden-sweet. Blueberries bridge the juniper to the berry base. Natural and artificial flavours round the profile. This is a fruit tea – a true fruisane, with no Camellia sinensis tea leaves and no caffeine.
Brewing
Steep 2.5 g per 250 ml at 94 °C for 5 minutes. Fruit infusions tolerate a long steep without turning bitter – useful in service environments where timing is not tight. Holds character on a second steep for an iced tea preparation. For iced service, brew at the same ratio and pour over ice – the juniper aromatic lifts further and the cup's ruby colour deepens. Pairs well with citrus garnishes – a wedge of lemon or a slice of cucumber extends the botanical character. At commercial scale, a 1 kg bag yields about 400 servings.
