ARIEL Strawberry Melon

Our caffeine-free herbal tea built on honeybush, with real mango and strawberry bits in the leaf, pomegranate petals for visual depth, and natural and artificial flavours that complete the bright summer profile. Available in 1 kg loose leaf bulk – a destination format for café programs serving a summer iced tea position, and for hotel and restaurant beverage menus running a seasonal tropical menu. The cup serves cleanly hot but is built for ice; chilled, the fruit character lifts and the colour deepens.

Tasting Notes

A warm amber red cup, with a bright fruit aroma at the front. Strawberry leads – ripe, rounded, sweet rather than candy-sweet. Mango follows: tropical, juicy, with the soft sweetness of ripe fruit. The melon character that gives the product its name comes through at the middle and finish, fresh and gently sweet. The honeybush base sits underneath: honey-like, gently sweet, with low astringency and zero caffeine. The finish is clean, with a long fruit echo.

Blend

Our base is honeybush – a South African botanical, related to rooibos, naturally caffeine-free and naturally sweet, with the warmer honey-like character that suits fruit-forward blends. Real mango bits and strawberry bits are blended into the leaf, contributing real fruit body to the cup and visible structure on the shelf. Pomegranate petals – the dried flower, not the fruit – add visual character. The melon character is carried by natural and artificial flavours; no melon fruit is listed in the ingredient declaration. Honeybush is naturally rich in antioxidants – a credible all-day or evening menu position where caffeine doesn't fit.

Brewing

Steep 2.5 g per 250 ml at 90 °C for 3 minutes. The 3-minute steep is shorter than other honeybush blends in the line – the fruit character peaks early and a longer infusion can flatten the cup. For iced tea preparations, brew at the same ratio and pour over ice – the fruit character lifts further as the cup cools. At commercial scale, a 1 kg bag yields about 400 servings.
