ARIEL Jasmine Flowers
Green Tea
A traditionally scented Chinese green tea, layered with fresh jasmine blossoms during processing so the leaf itself carries the floral character. Available in 100 g loose leaf tins for shelf programs and in 1 kg loose leaf bulk for foodservice operations running by the cup. The cup pours pale gold with a clean, balanced jasmine aroma; the green tea base stays soft and rounded underneath. Serves equally well hot or chilled over ice.
Tasting Notes
The cup pours a clear pale gold with a soft jasmine aroma at the front. Jasmine leads – sweet and floral rather than perfumed – while the green tea base contributes a quiet, mellow grassiness underneath. Low astringency for a green tea, no bitterness at the recommended steep, and a long, clean finish that holds up to a second infusion.
Origin
Jasmine tea is one of China's most widely produced and exported scented teas, with the technique – called xūnzhì – traced back over a thousand years. Whole leaf green tea is layered with fresh jasmine blossoms picked in the late afternoon when the flowers are still closed; as evening falls and the blossoms open, they release their fragrance into the leaf overnight. The process is repeated several times for higher grades. Green tea is naturally rich in antioxidants, and the jasmine pairing is one of the most established preparations in the Chinese tea canon.
Brewing
Steep 2.5 g per 250 ml at 75–85 °C for 3 minutes. The lower temperature window matters operationally: green tea pulls bitterness past 85 °C, and the jasmine character reads cleanest in a softer steep. At commercial scale, a 1 kg bag yields approximately 400 portions at 2.5 g per cup. Each 250 ml serving contains zero calories.
