Our caffeine-free herbal tea built on red rooibos, layered with carrot, lemon, and apple bits, with safflower petals for visual character and tropical aromatics that give the blend its name. Available in 1 kg loose leaf bulk – a destination format for café programs serving a fruit-forward caffeine-free position, and for hotel and restaurant programs running a summer or year-round tropical menu. Serves cleanly hot or iced; the cup carries enough character to support an iced tea program through hot-weather service.

Tasting Notes

A warm amber red cup, with a bright tropical aroma at the front. The fruit character leads, sunny and rounded rather than sharp. Lemon brings a clean citrus lift; carrot adds natural sweetness in the body; apple rounds the middle. The rooibos base sits underneath – honeyed, gently sweet, with the soft red-tea character that defines a quality rooibos cup. Tropical notes carry through the finish. Low astringency, no bitterness even at a long steep.

Blend

Our base is red rooibos – a South African botanical, naturally caffeine-free, naturally sweet, with the honeyed character that has made rooibos a global favourite in the caffeine-free category. Carrot, lemon, and apple bits are real botanicals in the blend, contributing visual structure on the shelf and real fruit body to the cup. Safflower petals add visual depth to the leaf. The tropical character is carried by natural and artificial flavours; no tropical fruit (pineapple, mango, coconut, passionfruit) is listed in the ingredient declaration. Rooibos is naturally rich in antioxidants – a credible all-day or evening menu position where caffeine doesn't fit.

Brewing

Steep 2.5 g per 250 ml at 90 °C for 5 minutes. Rooibos tolerates a long steep without turning bitter – useful in service environments where timing is not tight. For iced tea preparations, brew at the same ratio and pour over ice – the tropical and citrus character lifts further as the cup cools. At commercial scale, a 1 kg bag yields about 400 servings.
